Our Story
Apricus was born from a deep connection with the village of Apricale and its surrounding territory, shaped by light, craftsmanship, and tradition.
In 1999, I, Artur, together with my two nephews Aldo and Ildo, founded a construction company here, driven by a passion for architecture and a shared desire to enhance and respect this unique place.
In 2003, we discovered an ancient rural building. After a careful restoration using local materials and thoughtfully selected furnishings, Apricus welcomed its first guests in August 2004, marking the beginning of an authentic hospitality project deeply rooted in the land.
Over the years, our families grew—with the arrival of Alex, Sofi, and Anna—and, naturally, so did our projects. In 2014, Apricus Osteria was born and is now led by Ildo, while Aldo oversees the hotel together with his wife Charlye. I continue to guide the constructive and creative spirit of Apricus, the common thread running through everything we do.
In 2021, an opportunity arose to acquire a property just a few steps from the original inn. Together with Petter, a Norwegian friend and entrepreneur who believed in our vision, we purchased, redesigned, and restored this new space.
In 2022, after a year of significant work, we inaugurated the new Apricus Boutique Hotel.
Today, together with our team, we are proud of the journey we have taken and delighted to welcome our guests into a place that tells our story, the story of the territory, and a vision of hospitality rooted in care, simplicity, and elegance.
